Okay, he’s not a prodigal in the true sense, it’s just that I liked the title. I have my college boy home. He seems healthy and happy. I’m glad home offers one or two things that college can’t. For instance? Well, we have a beach a mile away, and reasonably good surf, and the boy is an avid surfer. Never that the water temperature today at Fortune’s Rocks is 59 degrees. He would have me believe that his wetsuit keeps him toasty warm. Right, then.
What is he looking at, anyway?
Oh, that….
That was today’s brunch, in celebration of having all five of us around the table.
Brunch Menu
Scrambled Eggs
Caramelized Turkey and Ham
Quick Coffee Cake
Fresh Seedless Red Grapes
Orange Juice, Milk, Coffee, Hot Chocolate
And it’s a 3-day weekend.
This is my version of the fatted calf.

Enjoy your time together
Isn't it wonderful when you can get the entire family gathered together around the dinner table. Now that is a mighty fine brunch, fit for a king. Enjoy your time together, greetings, Julie.
Oh, YUM! It's such a pleasure to cook for those we love. I know that your son tasted the love in every bite!
