These are a few….

I have started a seasonal job.  I don’t know how long it will last, exactly.  The company is in retail, and so is consumer-driven.  I really like the work, the people and the superior ethics of the company.  I’ve worked exactly 9 days so far, and the first 5 was training.  I’m not kidding when I say it has been FUN!
Yesterday, when I got ready for work, I was listening to Maine Public Radio (<<<lUv>>>).  The classical music program was beginning and the first piece was a beautiful  arrangement of one of My Favorite Things – yes, the song from The Sound of Music.  I felt so blessed.  (Don’t tell my dogs, y’know, about the kitten thing.)
What are a few of your favorite things this Advent Season?

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that you have found work - even if you don't know how long it will last. And work you enjoy is a double blessing!
This Advent season I'm enjoying stitching in my cozy living room while listening to wind and rain outdoors, the smell of baking, getting together with a friend to make antipasto, and quiet evenings with my husband.

What a sweetheart you are, WendyBee! I am deeply moved by your thoughtful visit to my blog. Yes, of course, you can print my little poem. I have such sweet memories from that time in my life.

Oh, how I love that beautiful kitty with snowflakes sitting her fluffy coat. I promise I won't mention this to your puppies.

Praise God for your happy work situation! He is so good to His children.
Blessings across the miles,
Carolynn xoxo

I'm glad you are enjoying your work, and I love that kitty. I do enjoy my job too, but I am sooooo ready for a holiday.

I LOVE that you LOVE your job! What a blessing.

I have just finished a whirlwind week of decorating, wrapping and cleaning.

Now I will enjoy the peace and beauty of the season. May you as well. :)

I love Public Radio. I used o love Advent when I was a kid, and my mom was so good about making it special, lighting candles at the dinner table every night. I haven't done as well, and work does distract me from enjoying the season. Still, I love to get the house decorated little by little.

Congratulations on your new job! I hope it works out to be a permanent position if that is what you want.

I've been doing a lot of baking lately and love to listen to classical music or instrumental Christmas music. Handel's Messiah is a favorite. It helps put me in the Christmas mood as I do my work around the house.

Enjoy your new job!
