Looking around

Whew! Where have I been? Well, thinking about blogging, among other things. Like putting in plenty of hours at work. Too bad I don't love my job. (No one to blame but myself for that problem!)

Truthfully, though, I've had a troubling couple of months. Some pesky health problems. Puzzzling symptoms, doctor's appointments, tests, more tests, still some tests to go. New prescriptions, and co-pay after co-pay after co-pay... for now, I'll just say that there's nothing real serious going on, just troublesome and wearying. And as with so many of us, the first thing to get dropped is the blogging. (Although my family might argue that the home cooking and housework suffer first!)

But I'm determined to get back in the saddle! Soon.

I miss our talks, and sooner or later they will resume! In the mean time I hope you find your health issue answers/relief. I'm glad to come up for a catch-up-on-my-blog-reading breather today, the morning after Anna's play's opening night.

Sorry to hear of your health issues but understand completely how you needed to take a break from blogging. I'm a bit overwhelmed myself these days. I hope you feel better real soon. Thanks for visiting Cottage and Creek.

Wendy, I came across your blog in the comment section at Esme and the Laneway. It made me smile as I am also somewhat consumed with her lovely blog too. Just found it a couple of weeks ago. I will be 49 in March. :) I was browsing through your blog and also found that we have something similar in our gardens. The sun dial -- only mine is broken and attached to an old log. Well, actually it's the garden I just left nearly a year ago, but anyway, made me wonder what else we have in common.

Take care,
Lynn

PS -- whatever is going on with your health, I hope it's better soon. I deal with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's.

Hi Wendy,

I'm sorry to hear you're having health issues. I like to think we are too young for such troubles, but alas, we aren't. :( I like to say it beats the alternative. I'm a 12 year cancer survivor now and when things are challenging I remember how I prayed for God to spare my life. He did and I'm so thankful. 12 years later here I am. Buried in housework and many mundane tasks... When I feel overwhelmed I remind myself that THIS was what I prayed for! Life! Messy, challenging, fun and extraordinary life!

May you be blessed as you continue your walk.

Hugs to you!

Hi Wendy,

As caregiver to my 90 y/o mother and disabled husband, I find myself too busy to take care of ME,let alone blog. I try to look at blog time as ME time but still I stay behind! Believe me, I totally understand where you are coming from.

As far as the Drop Cloths: well, at first there was Drop Cloth curtains, then the venturous branched off with pillows and then some onto furniture slipcovers. I have seen some that are absolutely gorgeous--mine, however, leave something to be desired! I think they are just not "my style", so I am in the middle of making one and trying to decide if my time is worth me finishing it.

Here's a girl that has the process down to a "T"--videos and all...

Happy to see you back!

You've disappeared again! I hope you're finding some answers to your health questions while you're gone!
