I miss so many people in my family. We don't live in the same city as anyone in either my family or my husband's. We definitely feel that was a mistake, to settle in an area away from everyone we love. We have missed so many important events, from births to deaths, and all the everyday stuff in between.
But today is a day all about giving thanks, and I have something to say about that. To thank is one of those verbs that involves a thank-er and a thank-ee. Thanksgiving is a national holiday tradition, and it is common to speak of giving thanks, counting our blessings, etc. We openly talk about for what we are thankful, but not to whom. It is not P.C. to speak of whom we are thanking. So I'm thankful to have a blog where I can say that I and my family are giving Thanks to God for the blessings he has showered upon us.
Think about it. If you don't know to whom to offer thanks, consider it carefully. And in the meantime, I hope for you, a restful relaxing time with your family and lots of yummy food to tuck into.
